Riding a "smart" trainer is nothing like the typical resistance trainer. There are several available that simulate real road conditions. Think flight simulator for a bicycle..

We do at least 2 interval or TABATA type training rides a week for an hour, then at least 2 touring rides for 4+ hours weather permitting we will ride 6 days a week. We went from a 12mph avg to 15mph since getting back in the saddle this year. My goal is to be at 16+ by spring. My knowledge of training in general is fairly decent. I used to work out every day with a friend who was a personal trainer back in the 80’s(so it might be a bit dated) but I try to stay up to date with the latest trends. I also do weight training during the winter months using my Powertec universal machine. Regards |
