Women's Jerseys
I searched on this topic & only found a thread about matching jerseys.
So, my (our) question is: Does someone know of a source of women's jerseys that aren't targeted to women in their 20s & 30s? I know that this is a very small market because there are very few women that are avid riders beyond their 30s. I think tandem stokers are the exception. We all would like to keep our shape as we age but that is probably not the reality. Neither of us is overweight but jerseys designed for young women just don't fit well. I'm sure that my stoker isn't the only one who has trouble with this. Thanks. |
Not to be mean about it, but... my stoker is 55y.o. Standard cycling jerseys fit her just fine. It is not a given that a woman (or man) must necessarily get larger or in anyway have a different kind of shape than a younger woman. Performance bicycle clothing has always fit aggressively. That's just how it is. It makes it hard for men that have guts as well to find bike specific clothing. So.... don't. 98% of my (and my SO) riding is done in non-bike specific clothing. Not an issue. Seriously. FWIW.

Check out Terry in Burlington VT.

You could look at mountain bike jerseys.

This company has woman sized clothes as well as large women sized clothing. Much better fit than buying a larger mens shirt/shorts.
Women's Cycling Clothes, Bike shorts, Jerseys, Jackets, Tights, Gloves I've made purchases a couple of times from them. Good quality goods and good service. |
Great - thanks for the links.

Whoaaaa!
My stoker, Kay, takes exception to this age thing! She is only 81 and her pilot is only 83. Yup, we are still riding! Not as aggressively or long but we are out there very regularly! As for jersey to fit for her, she does have some issues as she is 4' 8.5" inches tall and weights barely over a hundred pounds. At our ages we are not as fashion conscious as you youngsters! My wife/stoker and I enjoy wearing matching jerseys. We just buy 2 men's jerseys. I usually get a size up from what I need because I like a loose fit. My wife does also.

My wife has had good luck with the Terry Touring jersey, as it has a looser fit than the standard "race" cut jerseys.

The Terry touring jersey looks to be what I was looking for. I did look for Evelyn Hill Cycling and the website seems to be defunct.

We have several jerseys from twin six and like them a lot, they have both men's and women's.
My wife also wears some men's jersey size small or XS. |
