2005 Co-Motion Speedster max tire width?

We're considering a used 2005 Co-Motion Speedster, hoping to use it for somewhat-loaded touring.
Can anyone tell me what the max tire width is?

Many people tour on this bike and use 32c and fenders with no problem. For inspiration you can read journals of tandems touring here on Crazy Guy On A Bike. crazyguyonabike.com: Bicycle Touring: Journals by Category: Bicycle types / Tandem

Mike Miller and his wife tour on that exact bike. Here is his page https://www.crazyguyonabike.com/dire...user=mikenbern
As does Dave Cardarella https://www.crazyguyonabike.com/dire...davecardarella

I have a 32 mm Continental 4-seasons 700C tire on the rear of our 2005 Speedster. The actual tire width is ~34.5 mm. That leaves ~5mm clearance to the seat stays on each side. Based on that, I would think 36 mm tires would work fine.

I've got 32mm Schwable Marathon Plus's on my roughly 2005 Co-Motion speedster. Switched from 28mm conti four seasons due to frequency of flats and haven't had a flat since.
