Seeking stronger cassette

We have been running the stock Shimano 10 speed cassette that came on our Co-Mo and about every 1000 miles or so we end up cracking the spider on the inner 3 cog cluster. See pics below.

The stock cassette is an a Shimano Deore XT CS-M771-10. I approached Co-Mo about this and they curtly told me to take it up with Shimano. I know that the cause is very likely due to shifting under power, however, try as I might, you can't teach an old stoker new tricks so I have given up on that solution.

So I am seeking a stronger cassette (11-32). I can't tell from what is available on the interwebs which cassette is stronger and likely to stand up to our typical abuses.

So has anyone run into this problem and did you find, or can recommend a particular brand/model of cassette that will stand up to what we are dishing out?

The Shimano cassette that broke has a lightweight alloy carrier that the biggest cogs are mount to.
Buy a cheaper Shimano or SRAM cassette with the heavier steel carrier.
It will probably cost less too.
You guys all buffed out and breaking cassettes..... nice!

Not necessarily the solution you want but it works, Shimano warrantys deore components for 2yrs. I have two of these cassettes, an 11-32 and an 11-34, when one breaks i mail it to shimano in irvine with their RMA form and run the other one. 3-4wks later the replacement arrives .

Wow, we've broken our 10 speed chains but not a cog yet! :-)

Sounds like trailangel has a good approach. I wonder what Shimano would do if you asked them for a "down spec" cog-set, you wonder if they would oblige or just continue sending the same one? Good luck and keep us posted on what you find.

The Shimano HG 50 10sp has a steel carrier/spider. But only comes in a 11/36 configuration.

here are some 10 speed 11-32 cassettes without spiders, as @trailangel suggested. Cheap cassettes are strong and long lasting, and heavy.
