Ride the Rim

The Crater Lake Ride the Rim is a epic 33 mile ride with 4400' of vertical climbing held on the 8th & 16th of Sept, the National park is closed to traffic around the lake on those 2 days. We rode the loop with three single riders in 2hrs 35 minutes one tough ride, but beautiful.

We rode there on July 4th, 2016 after the Klamath Falls NWTR . They had just opened the loop to bikes but only a third of it was open to cars as there was still a lot of debris on the road. This is my favorite pic from that ride:
And yes, that is a giant wall of snow on July 4th! Temps were in the low 60s. The lake is absolutely beautiful!

Wow! Gorgeous!

I'll bet that was a lot of up & down.

We did that a couple of weeks ago. A spectacular ride, but the toughest short ride we've done on the tandem. It's not just 4000 feet of climbing, but much of that is very, very steep. And you're at 7000 feet of elevation.
