New LandShark Road/Gravel Travel tandem
Well Santa arrived just in time. This past weekend we visited John Slawta in Southern Oregon to pick up our new Travel tandem. Since we are getting up in age, we asked him to build a Shimano Steps equipped tandem with S&S couplers. Also because John is artistic we gave him free range on the paint job. We were surprised by the colors, but nonetheless very pleased. He said he imagined the bike roaming all over Hawaii and this is the result. I especially like the script "LandShark" on the downtube and stoker top tube.

Curious which mfr/model fork was used?
Also, maybe join the FB - eTandems group and post the pic of your pretty ride... https://www.facebook.com/groups/488732581842946

Regarding the carbon fork, I figured he built it, but next time I speak to him I’ll ask

Its the new larger Shimano 630Wh battery, BT-E8016. While heavy, it gives the most range. After 1 week of use I think we get about 60-70 miles of range when only using low to middle assist for climbs and headwinds.

I am curious about the geometry, rear spacing, etc. Do you have details of the build?

We are both pretty short, so the geometry is based on our Giant Defy singles in size S and XS.
