As stated previously, like any other bike accessory/component, 'either you want it or you don't.'
We've tried clipless pedals and stoker developed knee problems because of insufficient float. Went back to toeclips/straps . . . no more problems.
Used Shim Dura Ace STI for 3,000 miles and replaced 'em with barcons . . . again what's best for us.
So whatever works for your tandem team is the way to go!
Not ever having used a kickstand on our tandems, we have no recommendations to make, except to say that the Clcick-Stand looks to be quite practical.
Pedal on TWOgether!

OK derath, I am arrogant. I certainly didn't articulate the point in defence of the those pointing out the contradictory nature of purchasing something heavy for a high performance bike very well - the point is that it's not that there's right or wrong ways to do things, it's that answering the exact question asked often doesn't address the real issue. In person it's easy to clarify whether "What kickstand should I buy" really means "Is there some way to safely prop up my bike when I stop".

Which is why it is bad to generally assume that the question is not accurate. If the OP was really asking there some way to safely prop up my bike when I stop" he would have asked that. We all know what happens when you ass-u-me.

Add a good sealing washer at top or it may work loose.
hard to mount securely without marking the paint.
Took it off for touring with a trailer Bob Yak. too unwieldy to try and lift.
But one of the best if you are determined to have a stand.
Food for thought.
