Interbike is an industry only event, meaning that unless you are affiliated with a bike shop, manufacturer and the like, you cannot get tickets. And yes, there are MANY tandems on display!
So if you want to go, get a job at your LBS and beg to go!

There is an event that's called something like the Midwest Tandem Rally. Google it for more acurate info.
Option C) Ask the owner of your favorite bike shop if there is any way you could be added to their attendance list. But be prepared to offer some kind of incentive, like upgrading their accomodations, dinners on you, pay for gas, etc, etc.
Trust me, you DO want to go to Interbike!!!
It's like a trip to Santas Workshop at Christmastime!! And bring $$$! You will hate yourself afterwards if you don't!!! There are just too many things you will want to bring home! (besides a new tandem!)

Have attended 20-some Interbikes. Yes, you need to be part of the bicycle industry: shopowner/employee, etc.
General public is not allowed.
While there are no per se Tandem Bicycle Conventions, there are about a dozen annual tandem bicycle rallies across the US, including Midwest Tandem Rally, Eastern Tandem Rally, NW Tandem Rally, Prairie State Tandem Rally, Southertn Tandem Rally, Georgia Tandem Rally, Sebring Tandem Rally, and many more. Check the Tandem Club of America website for more info on rallies/events/rides @ www.tandemclub.org
The largest tandem rally we've attended had over 600 tandems, so you can get to see a huge representation of what's out there in mullti-seaters.
Hope this helps.
Pedal on TWOgether!
