Enclosed cam QR skewers for tandem wheels

Enclosed cam QR skewers for tandem wheels
I have not been impressed with the exposed cam QR skewers with my tandem's wheels.
Wheels:
Chris King hubs and Velocity 36 rims, DT 14-15g competition spokes.
Brakes: Rear Avid BB7.
Spacing: 145 mm
I note that after I have been riding with a ~150 lb stoker the disc brakes start catching. I purchased Campy Enclosed cam QR skewers. But the skewer didn't fit the back wheel (fine on the front). I am using the Campy nut with the exposed QR skewer that came with the wheels. It works better, but even now after a long ride with my daughter (around 60 lbs), I have to loosen off the outer adjustment pad on the BB7s a few clicks. I assume the wheel has shifted slightly laterally (no other good explanation to account for the evidence).
Is there an enclosed cam QR skewer that would fit this rear wheel set up?

Shimano Deore XT... steel skewers.
A special order item from most bike shops or available from your friendly tandem specialty dealers. I believe they only come in silver.
I've used Salsa's QR with steel skewers on our road tandem for nearly 10 years and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I guess it's possible that your wheel is shifting, and a good, strong skewer might be the answer. However, the long cable for a rear BB-7 can hang up just a little bit. The BB-7s have a pretty weak return spring, even when fully tensioned. Perhaps you have seen where you can add an ancellery compression spring to help resolve that problem. Just thinkin...
