High end Tandem wheels

I copied the following off the RoadBikeRider news letter. At only 15k I might get a set for each day.

Got a nice tandem? Want some high-zoot wheels like those available for single bikes? Lew Racing is offering a pair called the PRO VT-1. These babies combine boron and carbon in the rims and have carbon spokes ("only three grams each but five times stiffer than their steel competitors"). There are 16 in front and 24 in the rear. Yes, these are tandem wheels. The Lew website doesn't have details yet (including weight) but strength doesn't seem to be an issue. "You need to make sure the wheels are strong enough to handle two riders, but also lightweight so that the riders' power is not wasted," says Paul Lew, company founder. "And above all, the wheels have to give a great ride. I believe we have achieved the strength/weight/performance balance with our new Lew Racing tandem wheels." Price? If you have to ask, you can't afford them. $15,000 per pair. https://www.lewracing.com/wheels.html

Thanks, I guess I missed it. Went down your way for some winter training last week. Rode in North Georgia, Southern Tenn. and North Carolina. I was out of touch but happy....and in pain.
