Could you please send me a PM? We are considering a similar bike to your new one and have some questions for you.

I've never posted a photo of our team. The photo with the burley is from our first overnight tour. It was just one night at a near by state park, but it was a lot of fun. We just picked up a second tandem late this summer for my wife to captain. We've done several modifications for a better fit for both captian and stoker, as well as added a stoker kit since this picture was taken. The photo of all three of us is from his days in the trailer, and we have one more boy who has just started riding in the trailer. Hopefully in two years we'll have both boys on the back of a tandem!

Our new tandem with our daughter (3 years old).
The boy (and his family) is a bike friend of us.
He rides also a tandem!

Congratulations! My wife and I are only working on 20 years, but we would agree that a good, brisk ride is a great way to celebrate. Let the "marriage counselor" (aka the tandem) do its magic!

Here are a few photos of some happy tandem couples, riding the Danube River Trail, from Austria to Bratislava, Slovakia.

Yes, a couple of them are of a happy tandem family on a quad.

On the way to Melk, Austria in July. It was in the mid-60s and looks like rain, but we lucked out and were dry all day.

bgross, I'd like to view your photos, but I'm not a facebook user. I get this message from your links: "The page you requested cannot be displayed right now. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may have expired, or you may not have permission to view this page." Is it possible to change the permissions so that outsiders can view the photos?

Looks like a fast group, you didn't point out which team you are. :-) I see a couple of the bikes have side-pull brakes how does that work with the hills around the area?

T'is a Peugeot TH8. Various minor details suggest it is a 1982. It has been repainted, of course, a 70's Corvette color so as to appear French. Except for the stoker's crank, the stem, the headlight and taillight, saddles, and some consumables (chains, rear chainrings, freewheel, front hub, and both rims) it is all French. We rode over 2000 miles this year!

It is a fast group. I'm in the team second from the left. The team in red are the several times master state tandem TT champs. The team third from the left have done team RAAM, Hoo Doo 500 and Furnace Creek 508. Webcor is the sponsor of our USAC race team. A couple bikes have rear disk brakes. I put an Arai drum on occasionally for certain rides but not often. We pick the course to avoid the nasty descents.

Actually, I think that all but one of those bikes (the one on the far right in the picture) has side-pull brakes. I had not noticed that detail until you mentioned it.
