Awesome photo! It's great to see that you two are still doing the Courage Classic!

Brugge?
Hey, that's my hometown!
Only crazy Belgians would come up with a tandem like that . . . however Americans aren't far behind!
Hope you had some 'fritten' (Belgian fries!) at the market place while you were there!

This is the only picture I have of us actually on the tandem. We were on the Sauk Trail in Iowa. Such a beautiful trail, too bad it was 55 degrees and raining. We had a great time though!!

Also our only photo of us riding our tandem. We're working really hard and not smiling much in the first photo as we near the top of Passo dello Stelvio in Italy. The pic was taken by a commercial photographer who told us he'd been there snapping photos for four weeks and we were the first tandem he'd seen. Feeling pretty happy at the top in the second picture and looking forward to riding down the 48 switchbacks we'd just ridden up. Daria calls riding down through hairpins "Swoopin' Spiel", spiel being the german word for play.

This a pic of my 5 year old step daughter and myself on our new cheapie Univega tandem. We normally ride with helmets but were trying it out in front of the house. All of our rides since and before were with helmets.
.

Bike now has footpegs so she can have stable footing, new tires, new rear reflector and a new headlight.

Does Strava know that Team Brad & Sandy are the KOM (out of 1159) on the 24.6 mile Lucas Valley to Petaluma via Nicasio segment?

Not out of female riders, out of all riders.

Maybe that KOM should be taken away as well, as StubbedToe's stoking obviously provides you an unfair advantage over the Cat 1 male single riders in pacelines and time trial setups.

Do you know any of the 2d, 3rd place on the KOM list? It would be a hoot to get them to complain to Strava.

2nd and 3rd place are our friends from Alto Velo who were doing the Marin Century ride with us. I do not think they would complain as they seemed content to sit on our wheel for most of the time. I would be worried about asking them to complain, as I suspect that Strava would be happy to disqualify another of our tandem rides, even if we did get a KOM. Having Sandy as a stoker certainly makes me much faster on stretches like that than I could do by myself. I will take that extra wattage. Having another 200-220 watts for long sustained efforts certainly helps, as does the 700+ watts that she can generate in the sprints (seated)!

Interesting the route says
"Ridden 1429 times by 1159 people "
Were most of that on the one organized century ride?

It looks like they did a good job of tweaking the Santana.

It looks like alot of those were from the century ride. If you look at the first page leaderboard, you can see that most of the times were on the same date as the century ride.

Old used Norco Evolution $150.
Added a Beto child seat (daniel age 4), and attached my single Chariot cheetah (Lucas age 2).

186kms one weekend on the Lochside Trail and Galloping Goose Trail to Sooke and back! What a great time!

My wife and our son on our 98 Santana Arriva. Found the bike on Craigslist while visiting a nearby town a couple of months ago. Have been busy trying to make it comfortable enough for touring. I know it can be done but the designer sure made it a challenge.

My son and I and a friends daughter climbing and descending Lucas Valley road on the San Francisco Randonnuers Populaire this past Saturday. Agna's father and brotherr had the advantage on us climbing on their tandem (in the picture) but we ruled the downhills.
