Matching Attire for Father/Son
Hello, all.
I just picked up a used Santana road tandem for my eight-year-old and me for Christmas. I wanted to get a couple matching jerseys so we can look like we know what we're doing when we lap the solo cyclists on our Central Park loop.
Does anyone know where to pick up matching jerseys for a child and parent? And helmets?
Thanks,
Nika

My son loves Sponge Bob and I have found a jersey for him. Still waiting for mine. He is almost 16 years old and wears a large, there are much smaller versions for kids too.

Kucharik is the place; good variety/prices in matching stuff. Been selling USA made cycle clothing since 1930!

A sixteen-year-old still wearing SpongeBob? Shouldn't he be wearing the insignia of some sports team or heavy metal rock band at this point?

Hey, there's a lady on my ride in her 30s who wears a SpongeBob jersey because it makes her little daughter laugh. And I tend to use SpongeBob golf balls so no one takes my golf game seriously. SpongeBob is timeless. (And teens tend to think of him as ironic.)

My son is autistic and if he wants Sponge Bob then he can have it in my book. With his condition I think a girl friend is out of the picture. I bought the tandem to help out with some of his issues. Although he would rather play video games or use the computer, he has lost 10 pounds and not gained any in over a year now. He is starting to slim down.

Elkhound,
I don't think it matters if Butcher's son has any condition at all, your comments were not ones that should have been made under any circumstances.
I won't copy in what you stated. Butcher may or may not want to remove your quote.

I have a local guy in town that makes me custom jerseys at a very affordable price. I wish i had picture of the latest ones. Its great, I lay out the design, he comes back with killer jerseys...and yes i had one done in my 9 year olds size so we look "way cool" together.
