Velocity Tandem Wheelset - Opinions? Experience?

Has anyone used the Velocity Tandem Wheelset? I'm interested in the 26". I know the AeroHEAT rims are OK but I have no idea how good the hubs are.

No idea about Velocity hubs. A few months ago we had a new seat of Aeroheats laced onto our Shimano hubs by Joe Young. The Burley rides like a new bike.

Highly recommended: https://www.youngwheels.com/

Bill,
It's not clear on this thread whether you went with the Velocity hubs or not.

I already have a set with Shimano hubs and Salsa Gordo rims but I have a chance to get a Velocity wheels for $200. 40 spoke/26" AeroHeat

$200 for that wheelset is a deal.

No major worries about Velocity's house-branded Chosen hubs and Velocity's awesome AeroHeat rims alone are worth $100. I've used AeroHeats on our off-road tandems since 2000 and that's the same extrusion Velocity uses for the tandem-specific Dyad rim. Mel Kornbluh at Tandems East thinks enough of the Chosen hubs to offer them on his best-value tandem wheelsets. Knowing Mel as well as we do, there's no way he would offer a hub that won't give his customers outstanding reliability and performance: he has incredibly high standards.

FWIW...ultimately I did not buy the near comparable road set I was looking at... but then again I did not have a chance to buy them at the great price you have there.... if I had, I would have. Good luck.
