Tandem Avatars vs. "normal" avatars
Hah, I just noticed that, with tandems being such a couples-oriented hobby, I thought my avatar was okay. I had always simpy jumped directly to the tandems section of BikeForums. But, now I'm finding that some of the subforums of BikeForums are also pretty cool. Especially the classic & vintage since my only single road bike (which of course I use for any road ride other than the tandem) is an '88 / '89 Merckx 753.
But, when I post in those other subforums, I realize my avatar doesn't fit in any more. It looks,... weird and needy and overly co-dependent somehow.
Oh well, I think I'll leave it alone and just consider it another tandem-thing.

I have thought about the same issue and come to the conclusion that my tandem avatar represents me on a bike as the reader is most likely to find me. I ride a bike and 95+% of the time it is our tandem with my wife. I am happy with that.

I'm double weird. My avatar shows us riding our tandem while my user name is "bent". ;D
