Crankset Options
For those that like the look of a classic crankset or desire a 110 BCD take a look at the Stronlight cranks below. Current price $275 but you need to also buy two bottom brackets. Three ring options from 53/39/30 to 46/34/24. Only one crank length 170mmm. Pretty light weight 1350 gm add 500 gm for low cost BBs and you get 1850 gm. Lighter BBs would make it a lightweight tandem set.

Be aware that you cannot use a timing belt with the Stronglight cranks, only a timing chain, because the BCD of the timing cranks is 110 mm, and tandem belt rings are only available in 130mm BCD.

Good point. On the other hand, you can use a middle ring with less than 39 teeth if needed.
