How Can I Find Matching Jerseys?

We'd like to wear matching jerseys, but I'm having a terrible time finding them. So far everything we've found would require us to join a club or go on an expensive organized ride.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

WE have used aerotech , https://www.aerotechdesigns.com/bikejersey.htm, lots of choices in plain colors, some choices in patterns.

While I haven't bought any jerseys from Aerotech designs, I find their bicycling shorts to be excellent value.

Not such a bad idea, really. If you joined a club, you'd get not just a jersey but a kit. Everything matches and is coherent. The captain and stoker and within the the jersey, bibs, vest, jacket, etc. And these in sizes specific for both men and women. The cost of joining a club isn't usually that much, and the prices for the kit pieces are generally reasonable. It solves the captain/stoker coordination problem in one fell swoop.

USA Cycling has a club listing, there is a lot to choose from.

If you don't want to join a club, you might find a supplier of kits (for both men and women) that you can adopt. Hammer Nutrition is an example. They sell a full line of kit items at pretty good prices. If you are a fan of your alma mater, their cycling team may sell a kit (eg eg).

I'd recommend Twin Six. They have lots of great matching jerseys and some that just compliment each other very well too. And they are frequently adding new designs too.

Be patient and keep looking. Unfortunately almost all the men and women clothing does not match in color, a pet peeve of ours. All that pink and teal... She will buy a man's small/med jersey and have it hemmed for $15 or so. We've had better luck with the European mfg men's sizes fitting her.

We usually find a jersey that we both like the design and color and then get "TWO" of that jersey. And if they don't have female sizing for that jersey you can usually go down one size for your stoker in mens size, also check on the measurements....(armpit to armpit) will give you a good idea of chest sizing.

E-bay is a good place to shop also, we've gotten good deals on used jerseys that people buy and don't wear much...... we almost need a closet for our riding gear.

Good luck !!

We like to have matching jerseys one with sleeves for captain and one sleeveless for stoker. This makes it difficult to use a men's jersey for the stoker. Found a couple matching sets and always on the look out for more.

Have considered a custom run but have not pulled the trigger. Joined a club but was not active enough to feel right about buying and wearing the jersey.

Assos is a tad expensive, and hard to find discounted. But it does have coordinated kit-like patterns, sized for both men and women, and these nigh identical for men and women. So it does solve a tandem team's matching problem. Did I mention it was expensive?

Kucharik Bicycle Clothing (made in USA) has matching jerseys, including tandem themed, for male/female/kids.
Got several of them.
Great quality/selection.

The BF fav Probikekit has several jerseys that are similar among men and women.

Real Cyclist has matching jerseys as well, here by Giordana. Giordana is quality similar to Assos, but not as expensive and easier to find discounted. A lot of their men's and women's items are similar/identical. We have identical red Windtex jackets, for example. Giordana not uncommonly is available at Sierra Trading Post.

The pockets are pretty much standard size so I guess you could put bottles in them, but that is something I have never done. Another source is Performance Bike. Not all jerseys are available for both men and women, but some are and the quality is OK.

I was getting frustrated looking for matching jersey, and that is why I originally started this thread. Everyone's responses have been great... thanks!

My wife and I were impressed by the selection and prices at ScudoPro.com, so we ordered a couple of these jerseys. They were an easy choice, since our tandem is gray, her favorite color is red, and my solo bike is also red.

I'll post an update once we get the jerseys.

Thanks again!

Nice that you were able to take care of this. It happens that Voler has a promo now on solid jerseys, in men's, women's and kid's sizes. So, identical jersey and color, and priced quite attractively. Any pattern you want, as long as its solid.

SAVE 25-50% ON SOLID COLOR JERSEYS FOR EVERYONE

$14.98-$29.96
(Reg. $29.95-$39.95)

After we got our tandem, we also started looking for matching jerseys. We ran into 3 problems: fit, cost and design/pattern.

We found one answer at the local sporting goods store. They sell workout/exercise clothing made of wicking materials. You can even get them at Wal Mart. This gave us matching T-shirts which we wear around the neighborhood, on training rides and to casual events at a reasonable cost.

We also looked into making our own and developed a pattern that had the seams where we needed them to make fitting easy.

An easy way to improve the fit of even T-shirts is to turn them inside out and put them on. Then pin the shirt where needed to make it fit the way you want. Take it off and stitch it. My wife also put short zippers in the front of the T-shirts which is a nice touch and helps. It gives an opening for air.

Good luck!

Glad you found a solution. In the future you might try Zaavy.com -- they sell high quality one-off custom designed kits with pretty short delivery times.

OK, So not to detour this thread, but I had to check out the Voler deal, which it is a deal, but... 40 choices in short sleeve, 8 in long sleeve. Doesn't anyone do long sleeves anymore?

ScudoPro.com charges $40 for jerseys with a wide variety of designs, including solid, and every one I saw was available with long sleeves.

We have found that if you simply buy two of the same jerseys (even in two different sizes) you have matching jerseys.

If you want the jerseys to be gender specific you will have to deal with a company that makes them that way. On my wife/stoker a man's jersey looks really bad.

I also have purchased a number of complementary jerseys from TwinSix.
