Best places to look for deals on tandem wheels and other components
 

I want to add a front disk brake to our 2005 T1000 so that means new wheels, front fork, and the disk brake. I'm already looking on:

Seems like now that we are in fall there should be all sorts of closeouts, but not many tandem specific items.

Are there any other places I should be looking?

carry tandem stuff but they are not "Tandem" specialists

....I'm right with you always looking for a great deal on cycling items, but one caution I would offer is on wheelsets, particularly for tandems. Chase a quality builder more so than price and you'll never regret it. I've had sets built by Mel at Tandems East for a C'dale and a disc brake compatible wheelset for my Trek T2000 from Mark at Precision Tandems, both have been outstanding in performance and durability.

Keep an eye on ebay and do wide searches.
I scored a brand new set of tandem wheels off a new Cannondale for $100 because nobody else bid on them. They weren't listed correctly as "tandem" wheels. I knew they were by the hub part numbers and number of spokes.
Last year I saw several brand new wheel sets go for as low as $75.00 to$125.00 , these were older 140mm width. New old stock.

I have snapped up some nice tandem specific stuff from Colorado Cyclist on ebay. Highly recommended.

I think you may be confused with Rocky Mountain Cyclery? They have tandem items such as wheels. Earlier this year I saw them listing selling some new old stock 140mm width rear wheels for great prices.

Yes you are correct. I checked the old ebay chatter email on the tandem parts buys and pretty much all say Rock Mountain and none say Colorado Cyclist... so yep I was confused but no malace intended. Thanks for correction --should prevent others from wasting time looking for non-existing items.
