Hope Pro2 Evo hub adjustment....

Is there a way to adjust these things?? I don't see that there is, but the front hub has a tiny amount of play, even with the skewer is set on the tight side....

Any input?

MR

Hello DrMarkR.
Go to the Hope site. Review Tech Support
http://www.hopetech.com/page.aspx?itemID=SPG50
If that doesn't help you, contact them. Hope has always been responsive to me.

You can talk to them via Skype very inexpensively.
Hope this helps.

For comparison, we have a DT front hub on our Ventana. Miles of use and a slight play in the wheel. Nothing bad or serious, just barely detected. The DT has no adjustments. Need to replace the bearings. Not expensive, just takes time.

Possibly the Hope is similar, a stepped axle with a hub made to good tolerances that have no shim requirements. Once the bearings wear, some play is detected.

Thanks to Alex N for obtaining this reply from Hope....I'll mic the axle the next time I pull it out, but I'm really not too concerned about the tiny amount of play, since it appears Hope isn't.

"Do the bearing's fit tightly in the hub and the 15mm end's in the bearing's? Do you have access to another fork with a 15mm axle you can try the wheel in to see if it's not just an undersized 15mm through axle?
We have had people report this issue only to find there is an issue with the through axle. Also if you squeeze the fork leg's together then tighten the axle does that help?"
