Incredible weather this last week

The last week has been perfect cycling weather in SoCal.
Mostly in the 70's got in over 200 miles.
Can't remember a Christmas vacation I enjoyed this much.
When it gets below 60 my motivation really drops.

We were in N. Cal over Christmas and brought our tandem with us. Temps were in the mid 60's. Got in a ride on the American River Parkway in Sacramento and rode the Table Mountain loop of the Chico Velo Wild Flower 100 on Christmas day. Back here in Park City it has been dry with temps in the low 40's, warm enough for us to ride, but we've been sticking to skate skiing as we don't know how much longer the tracks will hold with the warm weather and lack of snow.

We're having horrible weather here in California.

Warm, yes - but also bone dry.

All our hills are brown, when they should have been gold in the Fall turning to green now. Getting more miles on our tandem and no rain days in the gym is scary for us in fire country.

2014 could be grim.

Your lucky. Our ride temp tonight was 11 deg. For last three weeks it's been gravel roads on our mountain tandem. Just installed ice grabbers. What a great tire for ice covered roads.

Here, in Tucson, for the past week it's been (with the windchill) in mid-70s.

Yes, incredible weather here in Pennsylvania, too. If by "incredible" you mean below freezing for many days with snow still on the ground a week later. Sigh.
