Alpha Q X2 fork feedback? good, bad?
I have found a NOS alpha Q X2 fork, it has been cut but long enough to fit on the cannondale.
I am trying to find feedback of teams who uses it, or have used it. I have read some random feedback that it is flexy, but is it sturdy enough to consider using it at all? Being very light, wondering if its worth it swapping.
Team weight is around 300lbs
I would like to know detailed impressions, either having it and switching to a new one, or just normal ride report.
Thank you

Have used that fork for 40,000 miles so far on our Zona tandem. No issues. We are a sub-250 lb team
Pedal on!

Nobody else has an opinion on the fork? No one is still running or changed from that fork to something else, or to something else to the alpha Q ???
I want to lighten the bike a bit, so want to know if its worth it changing from the wound up disc fork with avid bb7 to alpha Q and dura ace caliper.

Co-incidentally, that is the exact setup we have on front of our Zona (D/A brake+Alpha Q) for the past 40,000 miles! Have no reason to change that setup.
Have heard favorable reports on the Enve fork, but no personal experience.

I have an Alpha Q on my road bike. Nice fork.
Is the tandem fork like mine, in that the carbon steerer tube MUST be reinforced with the supplied 4" long internal alu insert? And that that this must only be installed AFTER the fork is properly cut to length? And then the fork can never be cut again.
Bottom line is that the alu insert must extend BELOW the depth of the top headset bearings.
Again, great fork, but major installation risks.
