Middle Chainring Problem?

Today I was working on our tandem, we haven't ridden it yet this year as we have been touring on singles. And as I was lubing the chain I noticed that when in the middle chainring the chain was acting "funny" at a certain point in the rotation. Not every rotation but more like every other. I did not find any tight links on the chain so I am wondering if the chainring might be in need of replacement.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

You say the chain was acting "funny". More detail needed. Does it make you laugh, like a clown?

I knew I should have been more clear!
The chain does what I would say is a little"hop". Not much but I can feel it in the crank. As I said I could not find any tight links on the chain.

Any bent teeth on the chainring that could be bent back into line?

I will take a closer look to see is any teeth are bent a bit. Thanks!

If you replaced the chain recently, then it's likely that the chainring is worn and needs to be replaced.

"Not every rotation but more like every other. " leads me to think you have a stiff link in your chain.
