HOUSTON shorter faster rides

Houston has gone HOTTER THAN HELL. I am heat acclimated but DAYUM this heat is crazy. Don't know about you but I'm switching to the KATY SHEAR SHIRE loop and working on increasing the pace. Looking on the bright side, I don't have to get up so early, still get a hard workout and off the road before 10:00am and.....still fresh the rest of the day. Long hauls in 100 degrees just take too long to recover. Going to be really hot next 7-10 days in Houston be smart be safe and gave a great ride.

I rode about 43 with NWCC yesterday morning, and we were done by a little after 10am. It actually wasn't too bad that early.

I get out once a week. I leave around 6:00-6:30 and try to get 20-30 miles in around my neighborhood. I did my 25 mile loop in 90 minutes Sunday morning and was done by 8:00. There was not a square inch of dry fabric on me and my two water bottles were about empty. I'm going have to start getting up earlier if I want to tack on the mileage.

I just moved from downtown to Porter... have not ridden in the area yet, too busy unpacking and setting up my shop...
did put the rollers on the back porch though....hopefully in a week or two will be able to get out and find some places to ride
I do not like the looks for Ford road though, may truck my bike out of my neighborhood and then start the ride. Right now thinking the first ride will likely be on 1314.
