Texas BF's Jersey - Interest and Design Thread

Let's go for round two of this after the Forum crash... Who's in?

(I'll dig up prices again soon, but as memory serves, a single jersey after shipping and all is about $56)

Something like this would be my first choice.

This style should be widely accepted though.

A Texas jersey...hmm novel idea.

Was planning on coming up some designs yesterday. Hydroplaning into a parked car sure can suck the creativity out of ya. Not the suggested way of talking one self into bike commuting.

Your Texas jerseys should have a milk carton on the back with a "Have You Seen Me? Please post to BikeForums.net with any information" picture of MERTON.

We'd need a picture of MERTON first.

SpiderMike, sorry to hear about the accident. Hopefully the creative jucies come back soon. I don't know if the HHH jersey image of the longhorn skull with drop bars for horns is trademarked, but something simular on the back would be cool (imho).

Plenty of white for our hot Texas summers (and the Champion Systems material is pretty light to begin with which I like) is good too.

from hh100.org:

and

(the long horn with the lone star look)

{also posted above} I like the front side of this jersey alright, but not a fan of the back:

Something about how the flag embedded into the state outline matches up with the different colors on the jersey just looks cheesy to me.

The cow skull with drops would leave out the Mountain bikers, bmx, and fixed gear riders that run riser bars(wonder who that could be . And to do mountain bike bars would be infringing on an old Primal Wear design. Doing a deer skull with Drops, flat bars, bmx, risers, old scott A 3', and ape hangers I fear would be too busy.

I do have a idea for integrating the "symbols" of our state without causing cluttering. Actually it would be more like "Where's Waldo". Much like the Primal Wear "rock" jerseys, for example, have the inside pocket easter egg of the Merton Missing milk carton image.

i'll keep coming up with great ideas to inspire y'all. like you could put a Houston Oilers logo on it in a 'love ya blue' tribute.

txtricross - I had started a thread about a possible Texas BF's Jersey design before the server crashed a few nights ago. The thread was lost during the crash, and thus, I've started a new one.

Surprised jsharr hasn't stopped by with his thoughts yet. Must be a busy boy today.

I'm up for a jersey if we're ever able to decide on a design. I have no creative skills in this area so I will leave the design ideas to those more capable.

I hope to have a couple of sketches to post on Monday.

Simplist design so far. The Texas flag, just replace the star with a cog.

Edit: Warning... when I say sketches, I literally mean hand sketches. So the pix will be scans or photos from my sketchbook.

Id be up for one, but Im not too excited about the UT one.
If its a flag style jersey, I hope it would be a very unique design.
Texas flag jerseys are all over the place.

cuda- you might ought to repost this on the Plano club site. Those folks are always looking for more jerseys.

To all the posted about a jersey with the Texas flag....

Would having the Texas flag for the background be suitable for your taste? I have a couple of ideas, but it would be up to all of us to decide what goes on the jersey.

Maybe you could base it on an old historical texas flag like this one:

Depending on the design, I may be interested. May I be an honorary Texan?

I am in, as long as I like design. HHH design is nice, not overly fond of the cowhead though, or something with colors of Texas flag. Would not bother me not to have a cowhead on the jersey at all.

I move to make Jschen an honorary Texan for service above and beyond the call of duty for BF. Do I have a second?
