TXBF: You and your ride
#76
You gonna eat that?
A few more pics of me and my bike. The bike now has panniers instead of just a trunk bag. Colder weather means carrying more things when I commute. I took these about 15 miles into my 25 mile ride this morning.
For those of you familiar with the area, these pics were taken just east of Ridglea Country Club in Fort Worth, on Westridge Ave.

I really think this is one of the worst headbadges I've ever seen.

This is what I ride to work. Nearly every week a group of roadies from some LBS pass me, so when you go flying past (Ginger and I top out at 13 unless gravity is on our side) give a shout out.

It's nice to see everyone and their rides all in one thread. I've been on BF for about a year now, and I've tried to keep my eyes peeled at any events. The last one I went to was the Denton Turkey Roll, which was a blast for me (but not my achilles
)
Here are a few pics of my one and only 1985 Ross Signature. I couldn't afford to replace much when I bought it used, so I just stripped and repainted it, added some clips, a couple saddles, grip, brakes and so on. Now it's gettin' time for a new wheel set and it's annual tune-up.

He was, cut a corner to get to a golf range before dark and nailed me at the apex of a blind corner in Irving. I'm told I bent the a-pillar and left a nice shoulder width gutter in his windshield... Luckily, I was riding with a group of about 35 people... they were great help and I owe them all a debt of thanks. More pics of the Ridley on the first set of wheels... I'm now riding on Bontrager XXX Race Lites on Continental Sprinters (yes, sew ups). I need to take some new photos but every time the weather is nice I just end up riding!
I built the Ridley up in my garage in a night or two, the usual stuff. It built up nicely and the quality of the frame is very impressive. I went with a shorter top tube (52.5) so put a little more weight over the front wheel and improve cornering response. American frames are too long for me, generally, and I found them to be unresponsive. Anyway, its all about what you like and what works for you. This just happens to suit my riding style.

This is my main bike so far. It started out as a 12 speed Legran Seville which I believe was a Sears bike.

I finished the Legran with a Walds rack and had a bottle cage installed and then inked the lugs:

And I've added a Schwinn Madison to the family:

My retired Pinarello Galileo is now hanging in our kitchen... and it was my wife's idea!

Yeah, I love her.

my noob commuter bike, picked it up Friday from Performance off 75 and walnut, rode about 12 miles home. Tooled around on it today, and then rode it in to work with help of Dart. Its a 2009 Schwinn world street commuter, with a few extras already. I didn't want to end up on a ride w/o a few things. I plan on using this for my daily commute I allready have some nice routes pointed it. (was posted on cycle dallas just a few days agao)
here is me.

The latest addition to my stable, 2009 F3. My wife's 2006 F600 almost ready for the Houston Moonlight Ramble.
