Unhappy Fall down go Boom

All last week and still some this week I have had BPPV (vertigo) keeping me at home and off the bike.

So ignoring my wifes warnings last night, and the fact that I still can't walk in a straight line, I tried taking my bike around the block.

I was okay as long as I didn't look down and then I would weave around. I rode one house past mine after making the block and was going to turn around....I thought I heard a car coming so I looked over my shoulder and when I did I turned straight into the ground.

Good news: I didn't hit my head and the bike looks fine, except a lever is twisted on the bars.

Bad news: I fractured the radial head in my right arm, and will now be off the bike for 6 to 8 weeks.

I just hope the vertigo goes away at some point, because the thought of never being able to ride a bike again brings me to tears.

Ant
