Bicycle Inc?

I am going to Bicycle Inc in Ft. Worth sometime soon to try out some bikes. Anybody have a reason that i should look for a different shop? Also, does anyone know of a good Jamis dealer in the DFW?

I've never been to the Bicycles Inc in Ft Worth, but I've been very happy with the service at the Coppell and Highland Park locations.

As for a Jamis dealer, the closest one to Ft Worth is probably Debo Cycles.

Highland park? Are you thinking of Bicycles Plus?

larger store, bicycle inc in arlington texas, off of green oaks blv and I-20.

If you prefer to drive farther, Richardson Bike Mart Dallas Texas, top notch.

Whoops. In fact, both the Coppell store and HP store are Bicycles Plus.
J.W.- Sorry, I've never been Bicycles Inc.
(I think I need an "I'm an idiot" sign)

+1 on the new Bikes Inc in Arlington over the Fort Worth location. Also, I believe Panther City Cycles in Fort Worth carries Jamis. You may want to call to verify that.

Sure check out Bicycles Inc. in FTW. Have not had a chance to go to the new Arlington store yet, but both the FTW and Arlington store are right of I-20 so you could make the Arlington Store from FTW in 10-15 minutes max depending on time of day.

Panther City Bikes does indeed carry Jamis bikes. Call Bernie at Panther City and see what they have if you are looking for something specific.

They are just south of downtown in the hospital district. They have a small selection compared to Bicycles Inc, but they are a very nice small shop. I don't think you can go wrong either place. Just depends on what you are looking for.

I have to disagree with the comment above! They may have a huge clothing section and tons of bikes, but their customer service blows and their prices are even worse, I personally do not support them! If i were going to name drop a shop in the DFW I would reco Mad Duck in Grapevine, great guys, amazing service, and even better prices, but don't take our word for it, check them all out on your own!!!

I would agree with RBM (Richardson location) service, but I went on a Saturday and the place was swamped so it's to be expected to some extent. I've had really decent experiences with the Frisco store. I bet if you hit the Richardson store at an off-peak time, the service would probably be better.

I was just up at the Richardson Bike Mart in Richardson this morning. I guess there are more bicycles there than I've ever seen in one place before- huge selection. I was in there about a half hour and I think at least 5, maybe 6 different employees asked if they could help me- so certainly didn't seem to be a lack of service today. Also, quite a few recumbents and tandems in there. A kid's tandem, which I'd never seen before. And one of these trail-behind bikes with TWO seats/pedals on it, which I'd also not seen before.

Doesn't Granbury have a Bicycles Inc, also there is a Jamis dealer in Cleburne.

My bad, I thought there was one there. BTW did you get to test ride a Jamis and compare to any other bikes. I would really like to ride a Jamis Xenith Comp, our LBS here doesn't stock much inventory in bikes, (really good wrench through), so I haven't gotten to ride one. Keep us posted.

Bikes Plus is expensive and the HP one is pretty unorganized, but nice folks.

I had a great experience with Bicycles, Inc. in Bedford yesterday. Went in two Saturdays in a row as a complete newbie, explained my physical limitations, concerns and thoughts about possible options. Got very solid advice, options I hadn't considered and good, thoughtful service. They adjusted a bike's brake levers to be closer to the grips to make it easier for me to operate them before I even took it out for a test ride. Their recommended bike for me was considerably less expensive than what I would have been willing to spend, and after about an hour total in the saddle now I'm more than pleased.
