No fixie here, but if the wife doesn't come maybe I'll ride over and catch a ride back with Jeff (if he's agreeable to this plan).

I'm headed back into town tomorrow. Let's pick a date and get the ball rolling again.

What? All that vintage steel and no fixie? Now you have an excuse to add another lady to your harem.

as it is I'm sending one lady out the door just as a new mistress is coming in. But no, no fixie for me right now. If I move closer to the McKinney/Frisco area and have more room I will be looking for a track bike though. But for now, 4 is all I can have, and can't let go of any of my current vintage steelies to make room for a fixed.

Vintage steelies make the best street fixies. Give one of them wenches a wardrobe change.

No need to let any of your current bikes go. Since all of them are geared, simply convert one of them to fixed or single speed. This can be done for cheap and it gives you something different to ride. Once you start riding fixed, the rest of your bikes may start to get neglected. I find myself picking up my fixed for just about every ride nowadays.

The agreement with my wife is I can keep as many bikes as I can store in the corner of the study in our apartment. Four is that limit unless I start renting the apartment above me as well.

There's a lot more room if you hang some from the ceiling.

you need one of these:

(as a matter of fact so do I)

btw, this weekend (12/1) I'll be in west texas (pecos, bahlmorea area) doing some scuba
classes so I can't make it then.

Ok, to get this back on track I suggest either BJ's (good mix of food and good beer) or Gingerman pub.

Friday evening the 7th, 14th or 21st
Saturday evening 22nd, 29th

Or after the new year?

The 14th is out for me, (the company Xmas party).

But if that date works for everyone else, don't nix it on my account.

15th is my company's party which is why I didn't include it. I'm guessing lots of companies are doing theirs that weekend.

Yep, mine is also the 15th, but that was only a proposed date - nothing is actually set yet (nothing like waiting till the last minute to plan something for 300 people ).

I'm in for pretty much whenever and where-ever.

BTW - anyone else headed out to the PBA rides tomorrow morning? I'm thinking DB1 unless it's looking rainy, in which case DB2 for me and th Mrs.

I'll be there- I've been asked to lead the fast half of the Tweeners. You can't miss me- with the helmet horns.

I'm going to start a new thread with a poll with the suggestions as they are now and try to get something set in stone asap.
