I forgot about my early Christmas gift that I bought a few weeks ago. The photos show it with a Toupe but I have since changed that out for a white Selle San Marco Regal.
This bike has the best group available...FIXED!!!

Every time I go looking for clif bars at Costco the only flavors they have are the ones I HATE.
Kevin, killer looking Bianchi there dude. Becareful of those brake levers, they'll make you start wanting a Campagnolo group again.
Currently shopping for a full carbon seatpost for my Fuji build. Leaning towards the Ritchey WCS carbon, but unsure about the amount of setback (25mm) for my fit. Anyone have any other good suggestions?

As far as posts, I'm happy with the Ritchey Pro Carbon that came on my bike - I think it's also a 25mm setback, but for me, it's just right, and probably half the cost of the WCS, so maybe worth a try.
If you're really unsure, just order a few from performance and return the ones that don't work - they're pretty good on that stuff (same thing for saddles - the guys always say try it, if you don't like it, return it, no problems).

I am trying to point my wife in the direction of a trainer for my Christmas gift. I need advise though as to what kind to send her looking for. She told me she saw a "fluid" trainer for over $200 and quickly nixed that idea. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Start the 'well, maybe we can save for it' talk. She'll get sick of it and tell you to just buy it already. It works, trust me.

I like my Mag trainer, forget what brand it is right now though. It has the remote which I can change the resistance on the fly. If you're planning to use spinerval DVDs or similar I believe that's what they recommend.
Picked up my Ritchey stem tonight from RBM Frisco. 100mm weighed in at 120g!
At performance I returned the Forte Pro OS stem I bought while in LA. Decent stem (149g for 100mm) for the price. And exchanged the windfront tights I had with all the loose threads.
Also bought a Ritchey Comp seatpost (testing to see if the setback wouldn't be too much) but it's too short to use. Going with a carbon WCS instead most likely.
Also got to return the cheap Forte GT2 tire I bought. Grabbed the wrong size after deciding to go with the GT2 instead of the GT2/k. Whoops!
Their trainer block for the front tire is onsale right now for half price (abourt $5!), so yea, bought one of those too!
Went to Home Depot and got a set of hex head 3/8 socket heads. 4mm to 10mm, just the tool I needed (the 10mm) to remove my Campy Ultra-Torque cranks.

I'm pretty much looking for clipless pedals/shoes... but don't even know what I want yet. It'll probably end up being an after Xmas gift... or not happen this year... cause I don't really expect anyone to get them for me.
Also need a new helmet... something I need to look into more, and would probably need to try on before someone bought it... not likely to happen.
Could use some new shorts... but not necessary... current ones ARE almost 10 years old though. But they don't get used all that often.
Other than that, biking purchases are on hold for other hobbies. I've spent too much lately on the bikes.

I agree with cuda on the road pedal recommendation. But for Mtn pedals: Time ATACS or Crank Bros egg beaters.
My first pair of ATACs lasted 6 years of trails, beach riding, commuting, and long distance charity rides before needing to be rebuilt. The cleats, of course, did not last as long.

Beauty ride! I thought we were going to build up that Azuki this winter? Did you get too anxious? How do you like the Regal? How does it compare with a cut-out saddle, if you have ridden one of those?
I just picked up these skewers for my road rig:
https://www.performancebike.com/shop/...tegory_ID=5311
My mountain bike drivetrain has over 6K miles on it so I got a new chain, cassette, cables and housing. I am now looking on EBay for a used set of XT square taper cranks.

Thanks! I really wanted to build upthe Azuki but, 1) I'm too lazy and 2) RBM made me a deal on the Bianchi that I could not refuse.
I love the Regal saddle. It's definitely different from my Toupe but after finding the "sweet" spot on it I can ride it all day long.

I have bullhorns, levers, and a front break on the X-mas list, so I can use my IRO on the road. If Santa comes through then I will give you a call Kevin and we can put in some training miles on the fixies.

I threw together a wish list for the wife and family this weekend. Nothing sufer fancy, just some stuff I need or would prefer to have.
Long sleeve jerseys
Full length cycling pants
Computer w/ backlight & cadence
Rechargable headlight
Plus I'll probably get a few Clif bars in my sock.

My wife got me got me a Road ID anklet, and the Lone Star Beer Jersey. With some of the cash I'm going to get the matching arm warmers for my jersey.
With the rest of the cash, I'm torn between some track drops or Azonic's Strip Bars for my Madison.

kevin, that's good to hear. I've been running a toupe for 8 months now but just scored a white regal ti for the CAAD9 build. Without even trying too hard it will break the 16lb. barrier, thanks in part to my main present to myself: slightly used AC350s, with the rear hub rebuilt to a DT RR1.1 rim and DT revolution spokes (1385g with rim tape and mike garcia's 65g bolt-on skewers, so back down to 1350 with veloplugs)
the best part? $300 shipped
