Allow me to introduce a new Texan
As of 7:22pm Friday night, I became a father. Mom and Sara, aka Peanut, should be coming home today. And in 3 years, she should be riding her own bike in 3 years.:D
Pictures of Peanut other than the ultrasound y'all are used to. |
Congratulations. :D

Congratulations, Spider! Sounds like you may need to start saving for a tandem.
|
Congrats Spider! Your life has changed forever. Go ahead and start saving up for a trailer, she'll be good to go in about 10-12 months.

Congratulations Mike!
I have a daughter who just turned 3. She's been hell on a trike for a year now. For her 3rd b-day we bought her a specialized kids bike with training wheels. All she cared about was that it was purple! She really struggled with it the 1st few times we put her on it because of the coaster brake. She had developed a habit of getting herself rolling by rocking backward a bit before rolling forward (like a truck stuck in mud), and it caused her to freak out in the first 2 seconds on the bike and jump off. Last Saturday after my club ride, my wife and I talked to her about patience and that we would work with her as long as she would work at getting the "big girl bike" rolling. We took turns rolling her feet in circles and explaining to keep pushing forward and after less than 5 minutes, she rode 100 feet all by herself!!! Needless to say, I was jumping up and down and acting like an idiot. All that to say, it's amazing having a daughter and I wish you and your family a wonderful experience, happiness, and health! |
Thank y'all. I'll post a calendar later for y'all to put in when you can babysit:rolleyes:
kwrides, just two weeks ago I bought my 3 year old neice a Specialized. She was really happy to get a bike. My brother-in-law was more excited that the bike and helmet matched. Our problem was she rode til her legs were rubber. It was so cute to watch her wobbly legged walk her bike up the driveway. Good luck on getting her to ride in a straight line/not stop by running into your shin.:D |
Umm. You missed the boat...

Mike congrats. Also just one note if you are having kids that means you were not riding your bike enough nine months ago.
|
thanks y'all.... what a bump. It does truly seem a long time ago when I started this thread...sheesh. Well to give y'all a peek, here she is showing her attitude at the camera already at 3 months...
