Critical Mass Houston
 

does anyone here ride houston's critical mass? Just wondering.

Does Houston have one? Tried looking on the CM website and couldn't find recent info. Might find it at Daniel Boone Cycles or West End, but haven't called. Its not exactly at the top of the agenda.

Yeah, Houston does have one. Meets at Tranquility park I believe.
I've done it once. It was fun, but too slow.
I was there for a ride, and others were there to make a statement. I'm all for making a statement... while staying in my lane, and not running reds. If I bother to come to a stop... don't sit in the middle of traffic with your hand up yelling at me to run the light while you piss off cars and they try to go around you. ;)

But yes, the people were nice, I had a blast hanging out before hand. I ditched the ride partway through cause it was slow (I was lead pack and doing about 12), and we met up with some other guys to ride to dinner.

No idea on the number of riders, but it WAS a sizeable crowd.

With that said, I would return... if I didn't live 25miles away. Not worth the drive, and too far to ride, to ride, to ride home.... that late.

I know a bunch of people that do it regularly it supposed to be real fun from what I have heard, unfortunately I work Friday nights so I don't get to attend. :(

I did its a great time and you get to see a lot of Houston most people never see. It usually meets at tranquility park though not always but the best part is how it ends usually at a bar. Here is a link to a blog about it.

I'd go, but due to my work schedule, Friday night is the only night my wife and I can get out and do something. So I have had to pass it up several times.
