Giant vs. Scott???

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am currently in the process of buying my first road bike. I decided to buy new at a LBS rather than on-line or used. This bike will be used for sprint-triathlons. I am a first time buyer, so I have a budget and am trying to get the most bang for my buck.

So.... now here is my question... I have narrowed it down to 2 bikes

1. 2008 Giant TCR Women's - Full Shimano Tiagra for $870
2. 2007 Scott Speedster - Full Shimano Tiagra for 799

Any thoughts? Please let me know, as I am going to purchase one of them tomorrow.

Thanks for your advice!

Well since they are both made of the same components Shimano Tiagra, it really come's down to which bike you feel rides the best, and is the most comfortable!

Welcome to the forum! Logic would indicate that you should select the one with the best ride characteristics, because, as chris838 said, the shifting components are the same. By the way, why ask on the Texas forum? If these are road bikes, ask on the Road forum for a wider base of replies.
