Pedaling the Prairie
First SAG-supported century in the Houston area for 2009 as far as I am aware. This weekend from Katy Mills. Anyone going?

Thought about it, but I think I am riding the Sealy area with a team ride instead. Seems like a reasonably good route and a low entry fee though.

Where did that wind come from today? At one point I think I was actually traveling backwards. The rest stops were stocked with great food, the folks working them were great, but that wind hurt.

Cranes,
I am riding with Mustang/Wood Group and we have team rides saturday and sunday each weekend in addition to what is available through the CoP series. We have quite a few on the team that are doing the CoP training series and they all seem to really like it. Those that aren't doing the CoP series just pick one or both rides, rsvp, and we generally take turns driving a sag vehicle unless somebody brings their spouse along to drive sag. The Saturday ride was out near New Waverly (I didn't go), and the Sunday ride was 25 or 44 miles out of Sealy towards Cat Spring and New Ulm.
CPBlue, The wind on Sunday was pretty tough on the outbound leg too, but it was a blast ripping along at 24 mph on the flats on the way back from Cat Spring to Sealy
