Happy Texas Independence Day

I plan to celebrate by taking my Karate Monkey out in the snow we're getting here in Northern Virginia.

It is nice to pause and reflect on the history of that time, all of which is local for me. My mother's side of the family has deep roots in this area, going back to that time. I really should research a bit more.

Now, today is Square Root Day! 3-3-09! It has the math heads excited.
