Had a couple of trees down in the neighborhood here in NRH but our stuff seems fine. We took the fam over to Grandma's for a kid b-day and the alarm clock was blinking when we got back so the power did go down for a bit.
A coworker from Grapevine had the power go out and a tree go down six inches from his A/C unit. It's blocking his garage. Fortunately his wife was getting take-out when the tree went down so they still can get around in one car.

Funny, usually I see Houston getting all the rain and we're dry as a bone.

Lots of Fence damage in my neighborhood from what I can see. Some trees down but that's about
the extent of it here.

Not a lot of damage in our neighborhood, (far NE Dallas). Just a few branches on the ground.

Last night the kids got a kick out of the power outages, (I was fixing a broken spoke and had to finish up using my headlight).

I rode my MTB to the bus stop this morning and it was awesome. Every car that passed me sent a big, surfer-type-curl wave over my head.

Have to do the full inspection when I get home, but appears we were lucky in Allen last night. A saw a few limbs and a few panels of fence blown over/down. I know one cyclist just a few blocks north of me who lost a Red Oak tree from the wind, but I wasn't so lucky as to be given an excuse to get rid of the other Bradford Pear in my front yard.

We had some flash flooding and at least one of our very very old trees is going to have to get taken down since it split but didn't fall last night. Lots and lots of limbs large and small and peoples patio furniture went everywhere.
I went out on a group ride at 5:30 last night and we figured we'd just go ride around a nearby neighborhood in flower mound without going too far in case we might get some rain or something. We mostly were looping through roads in the area 3-4 miles west of 2499 just south of 1171 in flower mound.
Lightning was picking up and it was getting dark so we headed back and all made it home safe. It wasn't without any excitement though. I live right near the start and as I was riding home I was halfway through the 300 yard trip and the flower mound weather sirens started blaring. I leisurely rode the rest of the way home and put the bike inside and as I pulled into the carport the hail started and the wind went from a few mph to full blast. A couple other recumbents reported this on the recumbent list I'm on "I thought we would be closer too Mark. But from where you all turned off, it was probably about the same distance. It was 3 miles to our house, and probably 3 miles for you all to get back to the school.
As we were about 1/2 mile from our house the tornado sirens went off. Then the literal second we pulled into our driveway, the 70 plus mph winds and heavy rain hit. Another minute and we'd have been caught in a really bad storm. We sustained some large tree branch breakage and 'stuff' on our back patio flew around like they were feathers. Most of our neighbors had more significant damage."

Then I read later on that night on wunderground
"Flower Mound, Denton County.
Tornado, reported by NWS employee.
Retired NWS employee reported brief touchdown 3 miles
west of 2499 on 1171 in Flower Mound"

Survived last night without incident - except for loss of sleep. But the extended rain this morning caused our house to lightly flood. I even had water pouring into my garage through the fuse box Needless to say, calls have been made to electric and roofing companies. Another 20 - 30 minutes of heavy rain and I would have been in real trouble...

Only problem we had on the west side of Fort Worth was a few of the wifes tomato's plants blew over. We did have over 3 inches of rain.

Here in Southern Plano there was a lot of small limb damage but nothing major except at one house in the neighborhood. They had major tree and fence damage. Bummer. Just small limbs and debri at my house.

We had a lot of crazy lightning, but we were south of the high winds. We lost power for about 15 minutes shortly after 3 am, then again for about 3 hours this morning. At the height of the storm last evening, we were eating dinner and the water out in the road was halfway up the car doors. Ridiculous!

Out Wylie way just some fence and limb damage. Lot's of water, and we spent about 2 1/2 hours without power.

I was mountain biking in Flower Mound when it hit. Branches were falling all around on the trail, so I took the road to get back to my car in Murrell Park. The 75 mph gusts stopped me dead in my tracks and about knocked me over. Intense. Driving out I pulled a 10' trampoline out of the road, at least 100 yards from the closest backyard. Tree, fence and powerline carnage was everywhere and there was a blown-over semi rig out by Grapevine Mills.

Next to my neighborhood, Coyote Creek Park (west of Dallas North Tollway in Plano) lost about seven really old, large trees. These are the diameter of a mountain bike wheel and just snapped in two or uprooted. A few neighbors had some fence panels fall and of course lots of small limbs scattered about, but I didn't see any damage to houses.

I took WRCT for part of my commute home, last night. A few places still had a few inches of water flowing over them. Mostly it was just debris and whatnot.

WRCT from Royal to NW Hwy is in pretty good shape. It appears the bobcat came through and scraped off most of the crud. There was some dried mud up near Royal and the normal areas with standing water between Walnut Hill and Abrams.
