Houston trail opening Sat, Dec 19
 

MKT Rails to Trails ribbon cutting will take place tomorrow (Dec 19); time 0900-1000; place 2424 Spring St (77007) Heights area. Five (5) miles of new trail have been added. Trail runs along Nicholson from 26th St south to 7th St and from Shepherd east along 7th St to Spring St and White Oak Bayou under I-45 where it connects to the proposed Heritage Corridor West Trail near downtown.

Thanks for the post. I'll be in that area over the holidays hoping for some decent weather.
Gotta get out a map and check out the specifics (I generally just rode T C Jester, Heights blvd, or Montrose for N/S or some random smaller street for E/W travel)

Now all they have to do is keep the joggers and dog walkers off of them. The one in the heights is dangerous. Headphones and all, oblivious to the road bike approaching
them from behind at 20-25mph. The stripes and stop signs don't seem to get the message across.,,,,BD
