Help me price my bike/Look kg381i for sale - Austin

Hey, Guys.

Need a little help. I need to sell a bike that I promised my wife I'd sell just as soon as she let me but a new one. Well, my new one has 1000 miles on it, so I had better get to selling...

I could use some help, though, as I have no idea what to ask for it. Here's what I thought I'd do: I'll post it here and get some input as to what you think I should ask for it. I'll take that advice and then post it elsewhere. In the meantime, if anyone here is interested and would like to make a reasonable offer (and better yet, pick it up in Austin), even better.

Here she is:

2003 Look kg381i Team
59cm - 58.5cm top tube c - c
Full Ultegra - crank (175mm), chain, cassette, brakes, levers
Velomax Circuit wheelset (these things are bomb-proof...love these wheels)
Deda Magic stem - 110mm - I never got the steerer cut, so there is room for adjustment
Deda Newton bars - 44cm
Thompson Elite seatpost
Look pedals (old style cleat - pp296 maybe?)
Continental GP 4000 tires (100 miles)
Selle Italia Flite saddle

The bike is in really good shape. I am the original owner and everything but the chain has about 3000 miles on it. Chain was replaced about 1000 miles ago. There are some scuffs and nicks here and there, but nothing serious. I really can't recall ever crashing this thing.

I'm no mechanic, so I can't say it doesn't need anything, but I can say the last ride I took on her was the Hotter N Hell 100 and she finished in 5 hours flat and rode perfectly.

Please give me your opinions as to what I should ask for her. And if anyone is interested, PM me an offer. Thanks for your help.

Here are the pics:

Little bump. Just to clarify...please reply with a number. That number is not an offer...just looking for some advice on what I should be asking for.

Cycling stuff really takes a large hit in resale value. I'll take a guess at $1000. Best of luck selling it. Looks like a sweet ride.

Depends on what condition the components are. $1000 is low, Id say closer to $1500 on the low side. If you really wanted to max profit you would need
to part out each individual component on ebay. Then sell frame and fork together. People would put higher end components on that frame.

Check ebay for closed listings. Consider parting it out, you might make more that way.
