In Memorium - Gerry Cole

I often rode with Gerry on various Greater Dallas Bicyclists rides (Tuesdays nights, Saturday and Sunday mornings). I just learned of her passing on this morning's Sunday Roll.

We are all very saddened by the passing of our "den mother" Gerry Cole. She was always a welcoming face for everyone, with a kind word and a warm and caring smile. We will miss Gerry.

Gerry's family requests in leiu of flowers, donations be made to the ASPCA. (Gerry and Floyd have rescued many critters over the years!) If fellows riders would like to send food for the family, please contact Vicki Capers (Princess), Mike Eipper or Carl McDonald and they will give you Floyd's address and phone number to coordinate a food drop.

Is this the rider that passed away in front of Mount Vernon at the Lake?

I recently heard some cyclists talking about a 60-ish woman that died of natural causes while riding around White Rock Lake; I assume she is the one.

That's awful. When a local cyclist passes its felt. I'm sorry for your loss.
