Just like the title says, I'm looking for some trails in the Keller area that are good for a CX bike, not looking to take a beating. Looked at LB Houston, and that is probably about as far as I want to go into Dallas. Saw Northshore in Flower Mound, but is that rideable on a CX bike?

River Legacy in Arlington.

Horseshoe on the south side of Grapevine.

Personally, I'd think twice about taking a CX bike to Northshore, but that's just me.

Heck, I've seen a guy riding a CX bike at Samson, so anything is possible.

Hey everyone, thanks for all the responses, I looked at a few videos of all of those, and they look pretty good. Any suggestions for the same thing but in the greater DFW area? Anything worth making the drive to?

Pretty much all of the Dorba trails are ridable on a CX bike. Some of Sansom is a little rough, but ridable if you're careful. The only trail I have found to be too rough is the expert section of the D loop at IDB.

If you are willing to drive as far as LB Houston, then you should check out the Trinity Levees that go from damn near LB Houston(Bachman Lake) all the way to the SE side of Downtown Dallas. There is a road on top of the levee and one along the base, inside the levee.

Northshore would not be a good CX trail. A little too much sand most of the year. Has it been done? Sure. It would not be much fun though.

The Lake Lewisville Greenbelt would be good as well. It is a little over 11 miles long and you are able to ride from US380 all the way to Lake Ray Roberts State Park. Nice ride. Good gravel trail.
