SETexas Orange, Vidor, Bridge City.

Looking for some people who want to do some serious workouts on the Large Yellow Span over the neches between Port Neches and Bridge City. Veteran's memorial bride.

I used to run this route and I know the bridge from flat to flat is 3 plus-ish miles (I recently re-confirmed this in my fiane's hyndai, a wonderful vehicle.).

Other sources - 2006 wrangler, 1994 Camaro.

I'm riding an 87' DS Ironman Exert, and this bridge kills me. Please come drop me.

I've found this bridge to be very safe, as nobody wants that lane anyways (3 lanes, 3rd lane ending, significantly larger right shoulder for potential uphill failures.), nor wants to be close to the edge of a 300 plus foot drop. I saw a couple a few times, a guy on a flat bar and a girl with drops. Going too fast to see, but they saw the pink and yellow.

It's truly rewarding to complete the climb with the view, about the best view in the area.

Rumor has it that the Highway Dept swept that shoulder/lane a few weeks ago.

Rumor looks to be true, though there is still plenty debris, there seems to be less gravel on the top.

Actually, about half that.

Bump - Haven't seen anyone on the bridge the past few weeks.

Shoulder is really awful now.
