Finding races and rides

So I know how to find track races but what about cross or roadies? How do you guys find your races? What about just casual rides? Is there a website that lists these or is it all word of mouth?

I see from the Introductions Forum that you're in Denton, that helps.

I think there's a Corinth cycling club. I also see this one in Denton: http://www.dentonbicycleclub.com/dbc/Welcome.html
There's at least three bike shops, check at them.

Also, http://bikedenton.wordpress.com/ - think they're the ones that have organized the Denim Ride and some stuff like that in the past.

For races grab a free copy of The Racing Post at your LBS. There's a current calendar in the front of each issue. You can also subscribe if you'd like it delivered.

I noticed a FB friend mentioning "The Bicycle Path" group ride, which is one of the bike shops. I see on their website, they list local clubs. ("Team Dangerous Curves" sounds the most interesting! ) http://www.thebicyclepath.com/
