Good wheel builder / wheelsmith in DFW?
Looking for recommendations on good wheelbuilders and wheelsmiths in the DFW area.
Anyone know of one? Thanks in advance. |

I've used Charlie Jenkins at Texoma Cycling in Sherman for several wheels.
One of my rando buddies swears by the guy at Fort Worth Cycling and Fitness on Cherry Lane, think it's Jason that he's mentioned, but not sure. You might post on the FWBA or GDB forums for input from them. |
Thanks for the info!

I just had a CXP33/Ultegra 10 sp hub restrung to a Ultegra 11sp hub at PC&F. Seems to be pretty solid so far. Less than $100 for spokes (36H) plus labor. I did get the hub off ebay and handed it to them, so less than $100 to restring the rim to the new hub and new spokes. Not really even sure who did it there but they have always treated me well so thought I'd give them a shot. Good so far.....

What's PC&F?

Bernie at Trinity Bicycles in downtown Ft Worth does good work.

Another +1 for Charlie and Pat Jenkins at Texoma, Texoma Bicycle Works . Their wheels are rock solid and stay true.

I have my wheels built by John the Wrench at Bicycles Inc. off Granbury Rd in south Fort Worth. He does an excellent job and I've been referred to him by others as well.

I had a wheel built by Plano Cycling and Fitness years ago for my Trek 8000. It has held up well, run true and handled lots of abuse. Do not know who built it there.
