Touring... For Trade List...
So I might have overlooked something, but would the mods be okay with a trade list in the touring forum like they have over in C & V? If not just lock this, but if so...
Have: Univega Gran Turismo 52 CM Frameset. It's had a bad paint job, but would be a great build for someone who would be willing to powdercoat. Double butted lugged frameset. All braze-ons etc, etc. Have a bb, stem, headset, and various odds and ins that fit it.
Looking for: An older Dura Ace front hub (early 90's/late 80's) with no pitting, a nice front wheel (700c), a pair of front painners, or whatever else that might be interesting...
Have Fun,
Travis

I don't see a problem with it as long as no cash deals are done.

I may be willing to trade my Trek 820. With an 18 inch steel frame [in good condition], it would make a great touring bike. It has eyelets/braze-ons for racks and/or fenders. [PM] me for more information. Thanks.

Trade Southern Tier Maps Set for Atlantic Coast Maps Set
Rode Adventure Cycling's Southern Tier route last year but ended up with an extra unused map set (San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL broken into 7 individual maps).
Would love to swap them for the Atlantic Coast set.
Thanks.

i have some drop bars. 40CM aluminum. from Ritchey. unused, but mounted once. has a few light scratches that handlebatr tape would easily cover up. nice bars overall, i just ended up using ones off my newly retired steed instead. send a pm if interested and we'll arrange some sort of trade.

I've got a brand new Nashbar Trekking Bar aka butterfly bar. Lots of people love 'em, but they just aren't for me.
I'd love to trade for some standard flat bars, riser bars, adjustable stem, or short barends. If you can't tell, I'm having trouble finding the right bar/stem combination.

I've got an Ortlieb backpack attachment; you hook it up to an Ortlieb pannier and it transmongrifies it into a backpack. It's new, I've never used it, and less than half a year old; I just never found a reason I needed to use it.
If interested, PM me. Looking for touring or camping stuff. (I have the basics - panniers, tent, etc.)
Edit: Gone!

Trade my old 51cm '89 Cannondate ST800 in a so-so condition, for another old touring Cannondale in so-so condition with a bigger 54-56cm frame. Heck, we can just swap frames.

I have a Nitto Campee rear rack I can no longer use. I sold the Miyata I was going to use it on, and I plan to get and LHT and would rather use a more "normal" rack for it instead. I was planning to build up the Miyata in a very traditional fashion, with Ostrich panniers and handlebar bag, and I think I just lost interest. I also have a Campee front rack if someone wants it as well, although I can still use it on the LHT so I don't have to get rid of it. I'd like to trade for the Nitto large rear rack (like Rivendell sells) but I'd be fine with a Tubus or Surly rack as well. Thanks.

I have a 58cm long haul trucker, but in hindsight, though its not too small, I should have gotten the 60cm. If anyone has the 60cm and wishes they had gotten the 58cm, let me know, Id be down for an even trade (frame and fork only). mines green

I have: lots of mountain and road race bike parts (bars, stems, chains, cranksets, shifters, saddles, the list goes on and on)
and I need: lots of touring bits and pieces. Looking for some Ortlieb front panniers in particular, as well as a new stove since mine fell off a ledge while climbing a few weekends ago...

I have a small Bianchi Axis with some mods (triple crankset/extra brake levers on the bars) on it that I'd trade for a small LHT. Bike cost 1200 new and I spent another 300 on it. It haqs some scratches on the downtube (thank you UPS) but other then that it's a beaut!

I need a disk brake caliper, mostly for experimenting with mounting; don't need the disk rotor or lever. Has to be in working condition, but doesn't have to be a really good unit. I'll think of something to trade for it....
