Regarding the video, if you're going to do one, do highlights. No one wants to watch you cycle your way through Montana or wherever day in and day out. Personally, I'd break it into topics. I don't know ... maybe a short segment on the types of roads you encountered. Maybe a little bit on good restaurants you came across and/or the types of food you ate. Maybe a bit on some of the tourist attractions, views and vistas, etc. that you saw. Perhaps a bit on places you slept. Perhaps also on what you brought and how you packed it (people always ask that question).

But stuff like that suggests that you've finished your tour or a particular section of your tour, and you're in a place where you can edit your video and put it together into a collection of highlights.

Regarding your desire to update every day, keep in touch with friends, and possibly do a quick "still alive" ... I'd suggest Facebook for that. People go to blogs and journals etc. for information on what you've seen or done during a day, not an incredibly brief update like that. But with Facebook, you can jot a brief two or three word update for your friends. You can even load a photo or two if you want.

Posting live to a journal is just asking for trouble. Why give the bounty hunters a heads up?

I find it helps me organize my thoughts and I then use it for crafting my journals on CrazyGuy. If I don't write down something every night, all those stories get lost.

The letters can be long or short. They can be truthful or they can be total fabrications. They can be facts and figures or they can be letters about people I've met.

I find that the total fabrications are ever so much more fun to write and read. Who needs to know what I ate for dinner when I can tell a story about grasshopper love or the terrible heat ray or Lars?
Good stuff!
