Where to find a Awol Transcontinental?
I'm trying to track down a large AWOL Transcontinental. Being that only 100 were made, it's kind of impossible. But, I wanted to put a feeler out there to see if anyone had any thoughts/ideas on where would be good places to look. I have a nationwide Craigslist/eBay search setup (nothing) and i've called around to some bike shops in Oregon to no avail. Do you think bike shops would still have them in stock?
Let me know if anyone has any ideas!

You got the internet Specialized is the importer Specialized Bicycle Components
Have you asked any? OK whats special about it? <tell me/us>, they all ship out of Taipei , get something close and change some components to get closer.
You can buy all this stuff as accessory additions .. " Rear: Custom Tubus Fly EVO; Front: Custom Tubus Tara w/ Specialized QL3 Pannier, Supernova light holder"
Dyno hub lights Alfine 8 speed , Gates Belt, belt ready frames are all out there by other companies.

I did talk to specialized.com and they said that they were all ordered 1-off from bike shops, so likley custom orders. Fair point on patching it together, was thinking about doing that on the Awol Comp. But you know how you get obsessed with one bike and can get it off your mind? Yeah... that's what's happening

Have you tried asking your local dealer to call their Specialized distributor to see if they can locate an unsold one at one of their other retailers? I am sure your shop would want to help if they can make the sale.

I'm 6'2" tall and I have a medium AWOL. It fits me perfectly.
