10wheels, dont know how often you ride motorcycles, but if you haven't been on a modern bike (lets say , last 10 or 15 years) the chassis, suspension and brake improvements are quite remarkable. I only get on one every bunch of years, but the last time I had the opportunity, I was rather impressed (going back to memories of riding 70s and 80s bikes).

I rode for 28 Safe Years..Not one Crash or accident.

Best bike was a 83 GPZ 750.

Had it for three years and Sold it because I wanted to hit 90 MPH on my commute.

I hear you on the last sentence. This is the main reason I havent owned a motorcycle for many decades. When I mention the improvements in chassis and suspension, when I have ridden more recent bikes, its quite something how more poised they are at speed compared to the bikes like that GPZ--the issue is that young guys with little experience and judgement, find themselves at very high speeds and think its fine. As we know, you make an error in an apex, misjudge braking....whatever, and at high speeds the margin of error is just so much smaller....

Ive ridden some powerful sport bikes and rrealized right away that I shouldnt own a bike anymore. My motorcycle days were a neat experience, but all in all find our two legged power travelling to be more rewarding.

When I returned from the CA trip my 28 y/o cousin was killed on a 1200 Suzuki. Broke his neck.

Sorry to hear that, never fun stories such as these... My best friends wife lost a brother.

Guess we should just end this with a "safe riding" to all on two wheels. I know you went through a challenging situation recently, so I'll touch some wood too.
Cheers
