Need a new bike, Roux or Eastway?

Hi all,

So...Unfortunately my bike has been stolen :'( Since I rely on my bike for commuting, I really NEED to get a new one. I'm already hating having to catch the bus daily! *facepalm* In about 2 months time I'll have a budget of £1,100. Which means I can get a decent bike...I'm stuck between these two bikes. It's main purpose is for commuting (if I haven't already made that clear) as I ride to and from work everyday, then to and from gym too. Just to be clear my bike didn't get stolen from the gym as I usually park my bike inside the gym, it was stolen up town :l Anyway...Work is approx an 8mile bike ride and my gym is around 5miles. So altogether I'll probably be doing 26miles a day minimum, around 130miles a week (this excludes when I go on a bike ride on the weekend). As you can imagine, I'm going need something long lasting (and a new lock). Here are my options...

Roux Etape 250:

Roux Bikes look good, and after reading this review I know it would be really good for my daily commute:

Also, my previous bike was from the same company and I loved it

And the Eastway CX2.0:

Eastway CX2.0 Alloy CX Bike | Eastway

A friend recommended the Eastway CX2.0 and says it is great for his daily commute. He has been using it for quite some time and it is still in good shape!

I have taken a test ride on the Roux Etape and Eastway (My friend let me ride his Eastway), and I can honestly say I like the feel of the Roux slightly better. Plus I'll be able to save more of my money to spend on other things. Opinions? Does anyone have any of the two bikes? It would be good getting more opinions from people who have experience with these bikes!

How are you carrying you gear, the Roux has racks, the Eastway doesn't have the brazeon's/mounts needed for this (it's a CX bike and shouldn't).

If you like the Roux, haven't you answered the question already?

You could say that I have answered the question already, I'm sort of just looking for other people to tell me their opinion or if there are any other bikes out there that would be good. If I'm spending that amount of money I want to be 100% sure and I'm about 95% convinced !
