windshirt

hi all
can anyone recommend an affordable windshirt that can help me on my tour this summer from portland to vancouver? i know wind will be a *****, and i have a bunch of good fleeces, but it will be pretty hot so i just want something very breathable and thin just to shed the wind. any suggestions?

I have a Louis Garneau Osmose, which I like very much, but I'd rather have the Morpho because the Osmose has non-closable vents on the side. Onthe other hand, the Morpho doesn't have a back vent. I've never had jacket with a back vent that was too cold (even at -20, not cycling) so I'd rather have the vent. The key feature I wanted was the detachable sleeves.

I realize that 100 dollars is not affordable, but I love my Pearl Izumi vagabon. There are cheaper versions by perl izumi that are still expensive. If you realy want to go cheap then try the Evil Empire (walmart) and cut out any cotton liners.

I opt for a vest. Pearl Izumi makes one. I find that I over-heat in a sleeved windbreaker jacket, and get sweaty inside. My wife accepted my encouragement to get one for her.

Portland to Vancouver in the summer? I'd prefer a light vest, like a PI Zephyr, or a wool undershirt from Rivendell, or both. It's not likely to be very cool, and those two items will cover ALOT of temperatures. You might not even take off the wool undershirt for the whole trip, unless it gets really hot.
