Click on "select files" then go to wherever the photo is on your computer (e.g., desk top, downloads, etc.) Highlight the file and then click open. I should make it appear in the BF upload box. Then simply click on "Upload File(s)." I think the image needs to be 1 MB or smaller.

The file size of the picture has to be right at 100 KB to work. You can use Photobucket or Photoshop to reduce the size. Photoshop does a better job because it retains the photo's sharpness.

If you upload your pictures to Photobucket, reduce size in the editor. Then copy the "Image" code and paste directly into post. Delete all the URL coding and keep the [IMG]https://.......................photos/DSCN9588.jpg[IMG] before posting. This should do it.

However, reducing file size has a tendency to reduce sharpness.

Way too complicated. Upload to Photobucket, copy the "direct" link in PB, click on the "Insert Image" icon in BF, paste the link into the "From URL" tab, uncheck "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" and hit OK. No need to resize or rename anything.

That will do as you say. However, if I am not mistaken, it will also allow the forum viewers to click on the photo; giving them access to the entire album the photo is stored in.

You must do something a little different than I tried, because your earlier post does not allow access.

Edit:

Forget the above. I just tried it as you said, copying the "Direct" URL. It worked as you described. Thanks, learned something new today

That picture looks like it was made somewhere in either Belgium, Germany or The Netherlands.

Love seeing all the pictures here. It does make me want to go out and go camping again.

Ok, the two I currently use,
for when I want a little more room and am willing to carry the extra 1.5 lb, I have my Kelty, tough to beat for the dollar, and the second is the Big Agnes Seedhouse sl2 when I want to get a little lighter.

From last weekend ...

From the last weekend of November ...

And I could keep posting photos of the same tent all the way back to 2007 when we bought the tent at a Decathlon a few days into a tour in France, Belgium and the UK.

I don't think I have any pictures of my tent. It never occurred to me to take any. I may be going on a kayak trip in the Boundary Waters some time soon, so I'll try to remember to get some pictures. It's an older MSR that I got from a guy on Craigslist.
