I am not positive, but if I had to bet, I'd bet on a fake snake. I'll never know for sure, the guy might just have a different preference in pets than most of us, and cleans his windowsill once a week

Edit: djb contacted his friend who is knowledgeable about snakes (see post below), and her verdict is that the snake is real. It is a Kingsnake held by an experienced handler.

Around here you see people who put up fake owls in spots where they want to discourage pigeons, have never noticed any serpents.
I have a friend who is a snake person, I'll show her the photo.

Even more unsettling than a potential fake snake, is his questionable attire. 🤨 It sure looks like he's only partially covered by a blanket. What type of person would handle a snake, real or fake, without pants? 😲🙄🤔
And after reading what I wrote, it just gets creepier & creepier. 🙈😉

These policemen helped translate a menu for us, and made some good recommendations.

And these two gentlemen served up some great kebabs

It's absolutely possible, that I jumped to the wrong conclusion, but I doubt it. What's the purpose of the sheet or blanket, if he's decently clothed? Something about that guy just ain't right, and my instincts are rarely wrong along those lines. 🤔

These seemed appropriate with France doing their best in the soccer World Cup again this year. This was after France's 2018 win. Serendipity happens again. We were on a tour with our daughters and were coming back from dinner in the small French town where we were spending the night.

Hey all: I haven't been on this site for a bit. Thanks for posting so many great touring pictures. I hope to contribute next year. It is very cold here today, 5F/-15C and your trips have been a great way to spend Christmas eve morning.
Happy holidays,
Thanks

This isn't a very GOOD pic, but it does show a couple of the swans, that live on Lake Natomas, right near Folsom, CA. I saw 4 of them earlier, but wasn't ready with the camera. 🙄
I chatted with a park ranger, and he said yep, folks like the swans and grey egrets here, among other things.😎

Clyde that's the backlands of Denia. I go there often when I have some free days. No cars and nice nature.

This is on Cordelia Road, between Fairfield & Cordelia. There's still some flooding there, but it's rideable. 👍
I'm not sure at all who these birds are, lol, but I'm guessing herons, storks, or more swans. 🤔
They don't seem to mind the extra water at all. 😁😉

Denmark-- This is not a bike path or small road with bike lanes on each side. It is a two way road, and the red designated areas are for pulling over when two motor vehicles meet. It does not leave any room for a bike

howdy Doug, it seems to me that there were similar roads in some places in the Netherlands, but the car drivers were all very polite, and especially patient, with cyclists.

Well, I'm sure this is the Golden Gate bridge, but I'm not not sure if the 2nd pic shows Alcatraz or not. 🙄😋😉 It probably is Alcatraz, I'm sitting on a bench at Crissy Field for breakfast, lol.

Well, I found the neighborhood called Haight-Ashbury, but never found that intersection (if it ever existed, lol). This one says "END", because this is where it runs into Golden Gate Park, which isn't really all that close to the bridge. 🤔😁

A few days ago, it was really foggy in the morning, so all the sailboats were brought out, to see if anyone would get lost or crash. 😁😉
